Claire A. Koeneman

As Co-President of Financial Relations Board, Claire has focused her career on helping public and private clients achieve their financial, strategic and business goals. She oversees client program growth and executive development across the agency. Additionally, Claire runs FRB's global REIT and real estate practice. She has led the firm’s growth over the last decade in becoming the dominant IR practice in the REIT industry.

Claire partners with company management teams to help maximize their valuation and enhance their corporate reputation. She leads client teams in addressing valuation issues, attracting new investor interest and building positive profiles in the media. She also has substantial expertise in assisting companies with capital markets transactions (144a, IPO and secondary offerings), M&A, restatements and crisis communications. Additionally, she has won numerous industry awards for her clients.

Earlier in her career, Claire was a principal in the Private Investment Department of Salomon Brothers, Inc. where she advised high net worth individuals on their investment portfolios. Prior, she was an Executive in Investor Relations and Asset Management at The Inland Group, serving as a spokesperson on debt restructuring and portfolio evaluation.

Claire holds a M.B.A. in Finance from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Smith College. She is a member of The Economics Club of Chicago, The Executives' Club of Chicago, NAREIT, The University of Chicago CEO Roundtable and the Seven Sisters Consortium.
