Richard Simonelli is Executive Vice President & General Manager of Financial Relations Board’s New York City office.  With 23 years of Wall Street experience, Rich is an expert in providing advice to corporations, governments and organizations to maximize value, raise capital and effectively position these entities in the global capital markets. 

Rich has extensive experience in providing counsel for capital related transactions such as initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions and sales of assets/divisions.  His expertise includes developing external media strategy, corporate and C-Suite profile building, providing internal change management solutions and issues management.  He specializes in advising clients on crisis communications, bankruptcy and restructurings and listings on all major equities markets.

Rich has worked with a wide range of clients including global companies based in the U.S. and abroad (such as Deloitte and Touche, Staples, Daimler Benz, Telkom South Africa, Revlon, Deutsche Telekom, Chiron, Roche, NTT DoCoMo, Sanofi, Nike); foreign governments (including South Africa, China, Argentina); important trade organizations (World Gold Council, American Institute of CPAs, US Department of Trade, International Marketing Council of South Africa); smaller companies and start-ups such as (Wit Capital, Bavarian Nordic, Giza Venture Capital); and private companies such as (Denel, Bcom3).

Rich has been a consultant for the past ten years including three years as Managing Director of Citigate Dewe Rogerson’s New York office, three years as Senior Vice President Financial Communications at Manning Selvage and Lee, and four years as Managing Director of Abbey Road Partners, Inc.

Earlier in his career, Rich spent a decade at the New York Stock Exchange where he was Managing Director of the International Division.  During his tenure international listings increased from 100 to 350 companies.  He began his career on Wall Street as a financial analyst for E.F. Hutton and PaineWebber.  He obtained his Series 7 and 63 licenses in 1984.

Rich is a graduate of Marquette University where he received his Bachelor of Science with a major in Economics and Masters of Business Administration.
